OUR COMPANY’S HISTORY
Douglas Bean began manufacturing plastic ware in the early 1960s, opening a factory in Richmond, Victoria. Douglas Bean (Australia) has supplied durable, reliable, utilitarian products to Health and Aged Care Sectors for more than fifty years.

Sons Nick and Richard, and daughters Lucinda and Debbie are proud to continue their family company’s commitment to high quality products that are locally designed and manufactured. Our offices and warehouse are located in Wantirna South, in Melbourne’s east.SUSTAINABILITY
All of our medical products are readily recyclable in Australia and New Zealand, with the exception of the small silicone inserts used in some of our perforated trays. All of our products are designed to last for many years, being made from durable, stable polypropylene. All trays, bowls, soaking trays, pans, storage trays and kidney dishes can be fully recycled at the end of their life.
